Whiter Brighter Teeth

Hey ladies,

Happy weekend!

Today I want to share with you some of the things I use to brighten my teeth. I am a sucker for jellies and fizzy drinks so my teeth are not as white as id like them to be. I would love to get them whitened but at the moment I can't so I'm back to the old ways, using Baking soda and a strawberry which my gran told me to do! And... it does work.


What you can do at home:

  1. Baking Soda (My favourite)This is probably hidden somewhere in your kitchen cupboard.



Take ½ teaspoon of baking soda, mix it with a little water (to get a paste).
Gently brush your teeth.
Follow by using regular toothpaste.
(You don't have to do this everyday. just as often as possible, the more you do this the quicker you will see the difference)

2.     Strawberry



Mash up 1 strawberry with a spoon.
Mix the mashed strawberry with ½ teaspoon of baking soda.
Apply  to teeth with your toothbrush and let it sit on teeth of 3-5 mins.
Rinse, then brush with regular tooth paste.


Other Tips:

  • Change to a whitening toothpaste to remove stains left on your teeth.
  • Brush and floss after every meal. (I know it seems tedious but if you want to see an improvement...)
  • Drink more water to wash away bits of food, and debris that build up on your teeth.
  • Chew sugarless whitening gum, this removes bits of food from teeth and temporarily brightens them up
  • Drink less tea, coffee, and dark drinks, these all stain your teeth. (Drink a glass of water after having any of these, or wash your teeth right away)
  • Eat less sweets, sugar builds up plaque on the teeth and this can make your teeth look more yellow.





Now I am no dentist... these are just things I have tried and used, that I like and have worked for me.
Of course there are so many dental clinics offering teeth whitening treatments today and at home kits you can buy. I have never tried these treatments, but I have heard they are quite good, but can be pricey. If you really want to see results, you need to be committed to routine, to see a difference- just like anything else.

Give this a go and see what you think. You wont see changes overnight, but you certainly will in a few weeks of doing this.
