My Top 10 Cleansers

February 06, 2015

I get a lot of questions regarding which skincare products are the best to use at home. There are SO many products out there now and it can be difficult to find something that suits your skin. So before you shop make sure you 1. Know your skin type and 2. Set a budget. Skincare products range from all different prices so everyone is catered for.

I mix and match with my cleansers. I like to use a face wash in the mornings to wake me up and give me a nice glow. I prefer to use a Cream Cleanser in the evenings to remove my makeup because I have quite dry skin. If I am wearing heavy make-up I like to do a double cleanse which leaves my skin feeling really good!

My Top 10 Tried and Tested Cleansers over the past few years

1. Dermalogica Pre Cleanse Oil (€30.00)

Ah-mazing product! Designed to be used before your regular cleanser. Oils are able to penetrate the skin and attract dirt oil and makeup, removing impurites. Once these are all removed, your regular cleanser can work deeper in the skin and more effectively. All skin types.

2. Dermalogica Special Cleansing Gel(€30.00+)

Soap Free formula leaves all skin types feeling super soft and clean with soothing mint and lavender extract.

3. Pond's Cold Cream (Under €6.00)

50% of this cleanser is actually a moisturiser. Doesnt clog pores. Suitable for Mature skin types and very dry skin. (Used by Kylie minogue, and a favourite of my mum, and gran!)

4. Simple Cleansing Lotion (under €4.00)

This was the first ever cleanser I used when I was in school. It is a very gentle cleanser with vitamin goodness. Suitable for sensitive skin, young and normal skin types.

5. Boots Botonics Cleansing Milk (under €4.00)

Powerful plant based product and 82% Organic. There a few different types of cleanser from this brand, they are all very good and I have recommended for people on a budget in the past. Suitable for all skin types.

6. Garnier nordic rose cleansing milk (under €4.00)

Gentle clensing milk for sensitive and dry skins. Rose helps with healing and regeneration of the skin cells.
