All About Skin Beauty Clinic Cork

Do you know that feeling you get when you've been chatting with someone for awhile, and you come away later from them feeling in a better mood? Well that happened to me yesterday, when I first met Nicola from "All About Skin" in her stunning Beauty Clinic in Marlboro St. We share the same passion, working with the Skin.

I heard about Nicola from my cousin who was getting married this year. She had a course of facials in the clinic leading up to the wedding and honestly her skin was amazing. She highly recommended Nicola.

As a therapist myself, working in salons and spas over the last few years Id frequently get a facial from one of my colleagues. This was always done in our own time and sometimes cut short due to busy working days. I do my own facial x1-2 week at home. But there is something so lovely about going into a treatment as a client knowing you are in good hands and you wont have to hop up off the bed to answer the phone every few minutes.

Nicola uses Image skincare products, this was another reason I wanted to come and have a treatment. Image is a very well known cosmeceutical brand in the industry. 

I was greeted at the door by a friendly Nicola, who is stunning and has beautiful flawless skin.
was offered a choice of herbal teas and filled out my consultation card (the most important step in a facial).

The clinic is one of the nicest Iv ever been in. It was so elegant and classy. The bed had a cosy electric blanket it was just perfect.

I explained to Nicola the issues with my skin and what Id like to focus on and she took it all on board. I was falling asleep. Even as she extracted the milia under my eyes and the blackheads on my cheeks (which usually prickles a bit) I was so relaxed. The products felt beautiful on my skin. There is no better feeling than the comforting feeling of war  towels on your skin, and the aroma of essential oils.

Im sure I dozed off.

The best part of any facial is the massage, ahh.. Its everyones favourite part. I particularly enjoyed Nicolas massage. Every therapist does it different, but hers was amazing I felt so rejuvenated after it. Facial massage is so good to stimulate the cirulation, lymph nodes and muscles in our face which all get lazy as we get older. Facial massage is hard to do yourself, and so much nicer when someone else does it. 

I had a nourishing mask on for about 15-20 minutes while I had my arms, head and neck massaged.

Facials are such a lovely treatment and what many people don't realize is how important they are for your well being and body. Being able to switch off and relax for 1 hour. You feel a million dollars.

After my facial Nicola and I chatted again about the skin. I have some image products to try as Id been thinking for awhile about investing in them. They are an advanced skincare range with active ingredients.
Nicola is very professional in her job. Shes been in the beauty industry for years and has worked with laser hair removal and other exciting advanced treatments. She really knows her stuff. And that is whats important when it comes to skincare. Its not about selling someone all the products they think they need in order for you to reach target. Its about educating and making sure you've done a good job for the client.

And Nicola did just that, my skin feels amazing and I feel very relaxed. Im looking forward to coming back again when I am home next.
