Boots- Skin Care

September 24, 2015

I love when boots have special offers on, and they do it quite regularly.
Yesterday I went in to pick up a few products, and I was delighted that there was 3 for 2 on all Skin care products. I had a field day.

Boots is great for your basic skincare products, brands such as Botanics, Boots own Brand Essentials, and No7 are my favourites in there. These are all very affordable and the ingredient list is good.

I use a variety of products depending on my skin at the time. I do see great results from more advanced skincare brands like Hydropeptide and Dermalogica, but I also see results from the cheaper products- especially on exfoliators and masks.

Here is what  I bought in boots with the 3 for 2 offer and it was all under 30

  1. Tea Tree Exfoliator 4.99

I have an advanced exfoliation peel which I use x1 week, so I like to use this x1-2 week to give my skin a nice gentle scrub. Its not as result driven as my other one, but its great to buff away dead skin gently in between weekly home peels. Tea Tree is a great active ingredient to heal the skin and prevent congestion.

  1. Cucumber Soothing Eye Gel €1.99

This range from boots was the first ever range of products I used when I was younger. I love this gel for tired eyes. Its Best to keep it in the fridge and apply to the under eye skin x2 day to improve circulation and hydration in the area. Again I have another more advanced eye cream, but I like to keep that for the night time as its much richer and more active ingredients.

  1. Botanics Day & Night Cream €6.99

Botanics is a plant base Skin care range, the ingredients come from botanical gardens. They are a stimulating ingredients and they have ranges for all skin types. I have used the whole range and I love it all especially the clay mask. This wasn’t available in the boots I was in yesterday but Ill go to another and get it because its amazing for oiliness and breakouts.

I got the sensitive day cream with SPF15- I choose this because my skin has been sensitive in the past few weeks so I don’t want to apply too much to it. The SPF15 isnt a high enough factor to wear everyday it only gives you 115mins of protection which isn’t a lot. We need to protect our skin all year round from all environmental and climate factors. Its important to reapply spf throughout the day.

Hydrating Night Cream- I went for this one as it’s a richer cream for more dry skin. Everyone’s skin gets a bit more dry during winter and we should all have a separate day and night cream. Our skin regenerates as we sleep, so night care is important.
And last but not least….

  1. NO7 Hydrating Mask €16.95

Wow Wow Wow, Iv used this mask for years. I missed it when I was away in Australia because I couldn’t get it over there. It’s a super rich mask that just makes your skin glow and look 10 times better. It says leave on for 5-10 mins and wash off. BUT, I recommend to either leave it on for as long as possible OR… Sleep in it…. Yes, you can sleep in masks.. they actually penetrate deeper into the skin. Just cover your pillow with a towel and wash off in the morning. I love it.

*Sometimes Boots give you a voucher after purchasing and it says ‘’ €6.50 off any no7 products’’ . Hold on to this. They are handy.

That’s my beauty Bargains for the week. I have used and loved these before so I am happy to have them all again.
