Let me introduce you to the Face Mask that will change your skin. I recently added this to my September/October Beauty on a Bargain post that you can read here. It’s a really popular mask, with most boots stores in Cork recently running out of stock of them. That can only mean one thing....it works!

Face masks are an important part of any Skincare Routine.
I love applying masks to my skin, seeing how clear my complexion is after using one. Especially this clay mask. I’v been using it for a few years now and its safe to say I am obsessed with it.

I have underlying congestion and nasty blackheads at the moment and that’s what this mask is brilliant for. The Clay helps absorb any oil, dirt or debris out from deep down in the skin. It draws out all impurities, resulting in a clearer, brighter complexion.

It is best to use this mask once to twice a week after exfoliating for maximum results. I like to leave mine on for as long as possible maybe 10-20 minutes. Walk around the house, cleaning, have a cuppa etc.

When I have breakouts, I find this mask really helps clear up and speed up the healing process of the breakout. I apply it on the breakout and sleep with it on overnight. Yeah, you might get a bit of clay on your pillow, but you’re spot will be 10 times smaller in the morning. I keep doing this until the spot is gone, instead of picking and squeezing it, because doing that, leaves scars.

I also apply it every now and then to my nose when I have tiny blackheads, or areas that are oily, like my forehead. Ill sleep with it on these areas on the skin and in the morning my skin is much clearer.
It will go hard on the skin after about 2-3 mins this is normal.Your skin will feel tight, but the beauty of it is it will not dry out your skin. Its just soaking up all the excess oil and impurities that clog up and congest the pores in the skin.

This mask is amazing for anyone who has acne, breakouts, oiliness or any shine on the skin. Start to use it once a week for the first few weeks then once your skin hasn’t had a reaction, use it twice a week and try sleeping in it on the affected areas. 

If you have combination skin (like me), then you need to have a separate mask for the dry areas on your skin. Ill have a post up on my favourite mask for dry skin this week so keep an eye out ;-)
