Ditch the face wipes

Hola chicas!

This post is going to make you think twice about using baby/face wipes on your face again. (Or so I hope!) 

All kinds of wipes do no favours for your skin. I know they are cheap, quick and easy to use, but they mostly contain harsh chemicals and alcohol which strip your skin of its natural oils. These oils are important to lubricate and protect the skins acid mantle (protective layer).

Long term use of wipes on your skin can result in irritated and sensitised skin. 

Wipes are not fully cleansing your skin- its not possible to clean pores with these so nobody should be using them on a regular basis.

If you do use them - atleast try and keep them for the once off late nights where you cant be bothered to remove the makeup. Its better to actually use a wipe in this case instead of sleeping in a full face of makeup.(Of course proper cleansing with a gel or cream is better to do but....)

But don't get attached.....

Invest in a good cleanser for yourself if you are a wipe girl.
Massaging and working a good quality cleanser perscribed for your skin type into your skin will change your skin forever, in the best way. Your makeup will sit better, and more importantly your serums, and moisturisers will work better into the skin- meaning skin cells get more nutrition! .......Glow GLOW GLOW...

Its good to do two cleanses in the evening if you have been wearing alot of product on your skin. So for example to use a pre cleanse oil first to lift off dirt and residue build up from the day. And second cleanse would be with more active ingredients like Alpha Hydroxy Acids that can deeply clean inside the pores and leave your skin spick and span with no irritations!!

Here is my current cleansing routine;
(Silicone face brush, Gel Cleanser, Pre-cleanse oil, AHA glycolic cleanser)

I will do a light cleanse in the morning with this Beau Claire gentle gel cleanser.

In the PM Ill choose either to use the beau caire gel cleanser or the dermalogica pre cleanse oil as my first cleanser & my second cleanse will be the Dermaquest glycolic cleanser. I only use the glycolic cleanser x3 times a week because it is an active product. Glycolic acid helps resurface the skin without stripping it of oils, it helps with skin texture and tone. 
 On the nights I dont use the glycolic cleanser Ill cleanse just with my other 2 cleansers + my pink Foreo like silicone brush- it gently buffs the skin and leaves the skin so soft afterwards. I got this one in Penneys but I need to invest in a foreo very soon. They are the bees knees.

Well, I hope you picked up some tips and will ditch the wipes.
