My Current Skin Care Routine

Hey Beauties! 

Skincare has come along way since our parents and grandparents day- back then people weren't  aware of how damaging the sun was for the skin.The education that we have now on skincare and active ingredients wasn't there.Today I'm sharing my skin routine. What I use in the morning, evening, weekly and why. So grab a tea and read on!...

Morning Routine:

*Basic cleanse to awaken the skin and refresh. Always leave the cleanser on your skin for atleast 30 seconds so it can work into the skin and do its job.
*Tone with damp cotton pads to bring skin back to its natural pH level and brighten the skin.
*Antioxidant Serum to protect skin cells and repair damage. Contains vitamin C and feluric acid.
*Eye care with hyaluronic acid to hydrate the skin around the eyes. Apply around orbital bone with ring finger.
*Moisturize with a rich cream to re-hydrate and protect the barrier function of the skin.
*SPF in my makeup- SPF should be worn all year round as our skin is exposed to daylight 365 days of the year, not just in the summer. Wind,pollution,car fumes, and smoke all attack our skin.

Evening Routine:

*First cleanse with simple cleanser to lift off dirt,bacteria build up and makeup (if wearing it)
*Second cleanse Glycolic acid cleasner,(only use x3 times week) Work into the skin and let sit for 5-10 mins. Feel a slight tingle. Helps to resurface and brighten the skin. 
*Toner to balance out the skin.
*Serum- Ill use a hydrating serum most evenings to hydrate the skin cells and boost the skin. But x1-2 week Ill use an active glycolic/retinol serum to resurface and plump the skin. 
*Moisturizer with Vitamin A. This is the avst step up range from environ you build ur way up to number 5, which has the highest percentage of vitamin A. Vitamin A is a very important ingredient in skincare and can change the DNA in the cell. Suitable for all skin types.
*Cleanse of mitt- If I'm super lazy ill just wash my face with this which is a 100% irish brand and removes makeup without any product. Better than face wipes. Read more about it here.

Weekly Routine:

*Ill use the alpha day cream which has AHA's as a exfoliator 1-2 times a week under my night cream or as my night cream, to gently dissolve dead skin cells and help unclog pores.
*Face masks- Ill use clay for oily and breakout areas and a gel mask for dry areas x1 week and ill use this pumpkin mask maybe every second week as it is very stimulating and has AHA's its great for clogged pores or when you just need a total skin boost.
*Tea tree oil- for the days Iv spots. I don't pick them when I have them because this will make them scar. Ill apply a dab tea tree to the area after cleansing and let it work into the skin. It will kill the bacteria.
*Skin needling/Derma roller- Ill use this x1 week. It Helps for better product absorption in the skin. It punctures tiny holes in the skin to stimulate healthy collagen production in the skin- read more here.

A regular skincare routine is like dieting or exercising, its a commitment. Only with a dedicated routine and good quality ingredients you will see a difference in your skin. Even if you don't have problematic skin, its important to look after your skin. Just like looking after your body. You're skin will represent you your whole life, look after it- feed it well, treat it well and protect it.
