'Save Our Skin'

Hey all and happy new year! This is my first post of 2017 and I know its a little late but I have been pretty busy! This year I will be posting a lot more and I hope you stay tuned.

After all the late nights out over Christmas, the over indulgence of alcohol and food can really affect our skin. When I returned home from Ireland 2 weeks ago my skin broke out a lot. Our skin is our second stomach so it really reflects whats inside of us. Of course we all want to have fun and enjoy ourselves, but its good to have some tips on how to look after the skin when it has gone cray cray.

Very Dry/Flakey Skin:
*Cream or gel face masks x2-3 times a week for 20 mins or sleep with them overnight.
*Hydrating serums x2 day under moisturiser. (Serums go deeper into the skin so they are great for feeding the cells)
*Gentle exfoliation with a cream based exfoliator if you have one with AHA's.

*Salycilic acid based face wash
*Tea tree oil to apply to breakouts throughout the day
*Clay face masks to apply to areas x2-3 times a week or sleep with on as a spot treatment.
*Steam your face x1 week to open the pores and detoxify the skin.

Dull Complexion:
*AHA based cleansers or exfoliants (gently buff away dead skin cells to brighten the skin)
*Face masks to use x2-3 times a week to improve the complexion.
*Massage any oil 9rosehip,coconut,or jojoba) into the skin to stimulate the blood flow, bringing a healthier glow to the skin. And the oil will give nourishment.

Remember its important to eat well for your skin too, lots of fresh fruit and vegetables, juices and smoothies and of course drinking a lot of water. Nobody has perfect glowing skin all the time, but there are some little things we can do everyday or when we have time to help our skin get its GLOW back.
