How to get your best skin EVER

There are quite a few things to take into consideration when you are trying to improve your skin. Whether you're concern is breakouts, dryness, pore size, sun damage or just general ageing of the skin, there are a few steps you must think about before depending on just products alone...

Diet


Our skin is our second stomach, so everything we put inside our body eventually shows on our face.
The more greens, raw veg, nuts, needs, fruit and veggies we eat the better for our skin (and of course body). If you suffer with acne and inflamation on the skin it might be good to cut dairy for awhile from your diet and see how your skin reacts. Sugar speeds up the ageing process in our skin and breaks down collagen fibres, so it is best to cut down on your sugary treats if you want to look after your skin. Supplements such as Omegas, Vitamin A, B, & C are also great to include daily.

Sleep



Its not called beauty sleep for nothing... Our whole body repairs itself while we sleep. Try and get a good quality nights sleep as often as you can, and if you are not sleeping through the night or find it hard to switch off there are many meditation apps you can try. CALM is one of my favourites. Getting atleast 8 hours sleep a night will help with a glowing complexion, puffy eyes and wrinkles.

Lifestyle



Our lifestyle can affect how the skin looks. Travel, smoke, stress, alcohol, illness, these can all play a role on how the skin looks. Exercise helps increase circulation leaving a radiant glow in the skin. Having a positive outlook on life and being mindful will create a more relaxed enviroment for you which in return helps the skin. Remember to always take time for you....

Medication

Medication, no matter what kind it is can affect how the skin looks and cause changes. The contraceptive pill can have both a positive and negative effect on peoples skin.


Products and Ingredients



Its not about the brand of products you use, its about the ingredients. Search for produts with alpha hydroxy acids, beta hydoxy acids, peptides, hyaluronic acid, vitamin A,C,E and antioxidants. Buy only from reliable sources and never use a product just because someone else does. Everyones skin is different and needs different things. A good skin care routine can really make a difference to the appearance of the skin.
