Travel Skin & Beauty Essentials:

August 25, 2017

I am flying to Spain in the morning to meet my family for a short holiday.  I am so excited. The weather in Holland hasn't been great the past few weeks so I am really looking forward to some sunshine (and sangria!)

Here are some of my must-have products to take with me besides the basics cleanser, toner, mosturiser....

1. SPF - Even if I wasn't heading to the Sun I would still pack sun protection. To protect the skin on a daily basis from UV rays from daylight. My go to SPF is Environ's Alpha day lotion with lactic acid (an AHA) to help to gently exfolaite & hydrate the skin, great for pigmented and oily skins.

2. Hydrating Mist - To spritz throughout the flight and while laying out on the beach to prevent the skin from getting dehydrated. I am using Primark's mist at the moment with cucumber. its really nice and refreshing.

3. Antioxidant Serum - To wear under my moisturiser/spf daily to prevent damage to the skin and help with pigmentation. I am using Skin Ceutical's C E ferulic serum for the past year and I love it. It has 15% vitamin C so it is great for brightening the skin while still fighting against harmful free radicals.

4. Repair Cream - For face, body, hair and nails. This cream is great after flying to plump up the skin and rescue it from any hydration loss. It's great to use after been outdoors all day aswel no matter what kind the weather. I am using Welda's Skin Food every now and then when my skin is slacking. It's packed with natural ingredients to soothe the skin. This one is also a favourite of Victoria beckham. Its really cheap and you can get it in Holland and Barrett.

5. Sheet Masks - These are so easy to use and great to use on a long haul flight or first thing when you get to your destination to refresh and rejuvinate the skin. These are super to use during your holiday aswel to give the skin a little TLC.  I am not fussy with brands when it comes to face masks. I will try them all. Primark have fab masks at such a good price.

Our skin is always changing, factors such a flying, and temperature changes really can effect the skin. Sticking to your usual skin routine as much as possible while you are away will help alot and adding in a few extras like the above could also help prevent dehydration, pigmentation, breakouts and other changes / irritations the skin may get.

Have a lovely weekend!
