The Ordinary Skincare Review:

December 14, 2017

''The Abnormal Skin Company''

Finally, a result driven skincare brand without the high price tag. You must be living under a rock if you have not heard of The Ordinary skincare range yet. They contain active and game changing ingredients such as alpha hydroxy acids, beta hydroxy acids, antioxidants, peptides and retinol.  These type of ingredients can make serious changes to the skin because they can penetrate the top layer. Repairing damaged skin cells, and stimulating collagen and elastin fibres. The Ordinary is a range of products from serums, to tonics, spfs, day creams and foundation.

There is one thing you must becareful about when choosing your products - they are all quite active in ingredients and there is side effects to alot of these ingredients. So always do your research first, know what your skin needs and you should understand that your skin cant always tolerate certain ingredients.

What is The Ordinary:

The ordinary is a budget skincare range by the cult beauty brand Deciem. The products contain active ingredients which are ingredients that can penetrate the top of the skin, helping to renew the skin cell cylcle. This results in a better skin surface.

Who is it for?

Everyone. However research and know the ingredients your skin type needs before purchasing products.

Benefits for the Skin?

Particular ingredients in these products do the following; Exfoliating, smoothing, hydrating, plumping, antiageing, reduces acne and over production of oil, improves scarring.

Main ingredients:

There is a variety of ingredients throughout the range. Ahas, bhas, vitmain A, peptides, vitamin C and antioxidants. These are some of the most important ingredients in skincare and can really change how the skin looks.

How to use it?

Depending on the product you buy, research and know what the best way to use the product is. For example- if you buy a retinol product there is different strengths, start with the lowest one and use once a week for the first few weeks to make sure your skin reacts okay. If your skin reacts well to the retinol you can increase it gradually in the week. The same goes for other active serums. Always read the instructions.

Where can you buy it?

I found my products in a pharmacy in Spain. They have a direct ordering website Here.
The beauty brand Deciem have flagship stores so far in London, America, Canada, Australia, and Korea.

Why I love it?

It has brilliant ingredients, for all skin types without a high price tag so everyone has the chance to have beautiful glowing healthy skin.

Price:
Ranges from €6-15

Why is it so cheap?

This is the most asked question. In a interview with the creator of the brand, Brandon Truaxe he mentions that while they have the best sourced ingredients they save money on packing, and in-house laboratory.
